Taste the World In Warner Robins

We know—the global pandemic has curbed many big travel plans over the last several months. But that doesn’t mean you have to forgo experiencing exciting cuisine from the world over (and let’s be real, the food is the best part of traveling!). Take your tastebuds on the trip they’ve been missing with these incredible international flavors available right here in Warner Robins!

Taco Shed

Warner Robins’ local taco shop takes one of our all-time favorite handhelds to the next level. Here, you’ll find the best dang salsa north(east) of the border plus crave-worthy nachos, breakfast burritos, and quesadillas. True to its name, Taco Shed offers a whopping 23 unique taco varieties with epic flavors such as the Cajun crawfish (complete with black bean and corn guac, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and a Cajun butter sauce) and the local favorite bang bang shrimp taco. Taco bout a good idea for dinner!

Greek Village Restaurant

Upon entering Greek Village, you’ll be greeted with a glass case full of gorgeous cakes and other pastries. Make a mental note to grab dessert on the way out, but proceed forward because creative cuisine chock full of Mediterranean herbs and spices awaits! Kick things off with an authentic hummus appetizer featuring pillowy soft pita and a classic smooth chickpea spread. Then, take your tastebuds on a tour of Santorini with a savory gyro or the ever-popular Mediterranean steak tips with sauteed onions and mushrooms, a dusting of feta, and creamy mashed potatoes. Don’t forget to grab a baklava (or three) on the way out. Opa!

Metropolis

With authentic Greek, Mediterranean, and Indian fare, consider Metropolis the epicenter of deliciousness and the ideal spot for when everyone in your family is in the mood for something different. Noteworthy menu items among a variety of eclectic options include the chicken tikka in a creamy, spicy tomato sauce and the lamb bhuna, a classic dish with bold flavors from India’s northern region. If you’re in search of an exceptional vegetarian option, cauliflower fritters are a must. Top your sampling of these global delights off with a refreshing iced spiced chai, then go ahead and start planning what you’ll order next time you make your way to Metropolis.

Curry Mantra

Whether you’re a local or you’re lucky enough to be passing through Warner Robins, everyone can agree that Curry Mantra is the place for an inviting mix of authentic Indian cuisine and a heaping helping of Southern hospitality. Curry Mantra is proud to embody the Ayurvedic philosophy, a traditional belief system that dictates Indian food preparation culminating in healthy, balanced, flavor-rich cuisine. Begin your palate-pleasing escape to India with golden fried samosas and then venture on to spicier selections like Curry Mantra’s vindaloo, a vibrant, fiery dish made from caramelized onions, curry paste, coconut milk, vinegar, ginger, chilies, jalapeno, garlic, chickpeas, lentils, and other warming spices like garam masala, pepper, paprika, and turmeric. Other favorites include delicious house-made naan, paneer tikka masala, and onion kulcha. If you’re not sure what to order, Curry Mantra’s friendly team is always happy to explain their dishes to better help you make a decision about which menu item will suit your preferences. And if you’re curious to try a little of everything, be sure to stop in for the weekly lunch buffet for an incredible spread of Curry Mantra’s greatest hits.

Dai-Ichi

You can’t do true international eating without making mention of an awesome Japanese steakhouse. Dai-Ichi fits the bill with casual, pretty décor plus legit hibachi selections like chicken, shrimp, and, of course, steak. Order the area’s best steamed dumplings and a bowl of soul-warming miso soup to start your journey to Japan off, then progress toward more satiating selections like generous servings of hibachi-grilled meats over fluffy rice or bento boxes boasting samplings of Dai-Ichi’s best menu items.
