Sinkhole and Water Main Break Prompt Lane Closures and Potential Water Service Impacts on Watson Boulevard

Warner Robins, Georgia - Late Wednesday afternoon, City of Warner Robins crews responded to a sinkhole that opened in one of the eastbound lanes of Watson Boulevard near Olympia Drive. The sinkhole was determined to be the result of a water line break. Crews immediately began working to locate the break and begin repairs.

The situation is significant and complex. The break involves a water main approximately 25 feet underground that was originally constructed in the 1960s. This will likely result in a multi-day lane closure on Watson Boulevard.
